Applications are now open for the UNESCO-UNEVOC TVET Leadership Programme, inviting candidates to empower themselves as leaders in the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) sphere worldwide. This initiative aims to equip participants with the skills needed to catalyze impactful change within their institutions and broader spheres.
About UNESCO-UNEVOC TVET Leadership Programme:
Aligned with other TVET programs, the UNESCO-UNEVOC TVET Leadership Programme focuses on enhancing participants’ understanding of recent advancements in TVET. It provides them with essential skills and resources crucial for effective leadership within the TVET sector.
Since its establishment in 2016, the TVET Leadership Programme has trained over 700 professionals, including leaders, managers, and staff in TVET, across 95 countries. This comprehensive training includes global and regional editions, delivered through various mediums such as in-person sessions and online modules. In 2022 alone, 140 participants from 61 countries benefited from the program.
Roles at TVET Leadership Programme:
The program targets mid- to senior-level professionals in the TVET domain, covering various functional roles:
- Leadership and management within TVET, skill development, and employment systems or institutions
- Formulating and executing policies and directives
- Assessment and appraisal
- Building networks and overseeing partnerships
Program Content:
The program focuses on three key areas of knowledge:
- Essential knowledge areas: “vision for change”
- Specialized knowledge: “knowledge for change”
- Leadership and managerial abilities: “skills for change”

Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants should meet the following prerequisites:
- Keen interest and aptitude for steering change within the TVET field, skills, or employment systems or institutions
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in the TVET field, skills, or employment systems or institutions
- Proficiency in both written and spoken English
