Carrington Youth Fellowship Entrepreneurship Program for Student Entrepreneurs
We are excited to announce the Carrington Youth Fellowship Initiative Entrepreneurship Program 2023, inviting applications from qualified individuals. This initiative aims to empower student entrepreneurs in tertiary institutions by equipping them with the necessary skills, knowledge, and network to thrive in a dynamic business environment. By fostering innovation and facilitating business growth, the program seeks to contribute to youth employment and economic development.
Through this program, we will select and support 50 aspiring and emerging student entrepreneurs from various tertiary institutions across Lagos State. Participants will undergo comprehensive training and mentorship, enabling them to adapt to evolving business landscapes, explore innovative approaches, and effectively scale their ventures. By providing these entrepreneurs with essential tools for success, we aim to promote youth employment and stimulate economic growth within Lagos State.
Carrington Youth Fellowship Entrepreneurship Program 2023 | DETAILS:
The Carrington Youth Fellowship Initiative (CYFI) is a dynamic youth-led program established in 2011 under the auspices of the U.S. Consulate General in Lagos. Its primary objective is to empower young Nigerians through proactive engagement, training, collaborative platforms, and networking opportunities. These initiatives are designed to foster personal and professional growth, facilitate the establishment of impactful organizations, and inspire active citizenship among participants. Through CYFI, members are equipped with the necessary tools and resources to advance their careers, contribute to society, and drive positive change in Nigeria.
Eligibility Criteria To be considered for the CYFI Entrepreneurship Program 2023, interested applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Enrolled students in tertiary institutions
- Demonstrate excellent leadership abilities
- Between the ages of 18 and 35
- Able to commit 3-4 hours weekly to the program from August to November
- Open to students in tertiary institutions in Lagos State only
