REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must be a South African citizen
  • Must possess a valid South African ID document
  • Must have achieved a minimum overall average of 60% in Matric
  • Must have attained at least level 5 in Matric for Mathematics
  • Must have attained at least level 5 in Matric for Physical Science
  • Currently registered for full-time or part-time postgraduate or undergraduate studies in the specified fields
  • Currently enrolled at a recognized and accredited South African public tertiary institution (University of Technology, University, or TVET College)
  • Must not have failed more than 2 subjects, or must have permission to progress to the next year of study
  • Must not be a recipient of NSFAS funding or any other public funding or bursary
  • Must not be an immediate family member of a CETA employee
  • Must not receive funding from an entity funded by CETA
  • Annual household income must be R350,000 or below
  • Preference will be given to female applicants in the built environment or construction sector, military veterans, applicants with disabilities, unemployed individuals seeking to study in the built environment or construction sector, and applicants from rural areas currently studying in the built environment or construction sector.

Applicants must also provide clear copies of the following documentation along with their completed applications:

  • Certified copy of an ID document
  • Certified copy of the most recent Matric results or Matric certificate
  • Certified copy of the complete tertiary academic record for applicants currently studying
  • Proof of acceptance to study, printed on the letterhead of the tertiary institution
  • Certified copy of proof of income for the applicant’s parents or guardians, including bank statements (6 months), most recent payslips (for employed parents or guardians), declaration or affidavit (for unemployed parents or guardians), proof of pension or social grant (if applicable), doctor’s certificate (for permanently disabled parents or guardians), and death certificate (for deceased parents or guardians).
