The City is dedicated to offering practical training opportunities for students. The internship program initiated by the City of Johannesburg addresses the increasing demand from tertiary institutions for students to gain on-the-job exposure, either as a prerequisite for academic qualifications or as a post-qualification requirement for experiential training.

The City remains committed to providing work-based training for students, and currently has internship opportunities available in the following fields:

Internship: IT Requirements:

Matric/Grade 12 plus a Diploma/degree in Information Technology or equivalent qualification registered at SAQA 6/7.
Understanding of ICT Systems.
Computer literacy – MS Office Applications.
Only City of Johannesburg residents will be considered.

Internship: Finance Requirements:

Matric/Grade 12 plus a Diploma/degree in Finance or equivalent qualification registered at SAQA 6/7.
Computer literacy – MS Office Applications.
Only City of Johannesburg residents will be considered.
