Fetola Programme is currently in search of candidates for a full-time, fixed-term (6 months) position based in Cape Town.

Role Overview: Our Enterprise Development Programmes allow us to collaborate with inspiring entrepreneurs nationwide. The Internship Programme offers young professionals an opportunity to acquire valuable business skills and contribute to our transformative sector and the broader work at Fetola. Interns will play a key role in planning and implementing our SME Enterprise Development Programmes, impacting entrepreneurs on a national scale. On-the-job training and mentorship will be provided.
The Ideal Candidate: The ideal Intern should possess a passion for learning, enjoy collaboration and teamwork. Candidates with an interest and background in data analysis, research, and administration are encouraged to apply. The candidate should be organized, self-motivated, confident, and innovative, with excellent communication skills to facilitate efficient project communications and engagements. This includes the ability to receive, analyze, and resolve customer problems, requests, and inquiries, escalating when necessary.
The Internship: Interns will gain exposure to our daily operations that positively impact lives. They will be actively involved in exciting projects, contributing to tasks such as project planning, SME programme calls, amplification, data collection, research, and sharing. Interns will have the opportunity to job rotate and experience all SME-serving portfolios. Many of our past interns have made significant contributions and grown into excellent managers within our team.
Job Requirements:
- Tertiary diploma/degree in Business, Entrepreneurship, or a related field
- Passion for the small business sector and Enterprise/Supplier Development
- Minimum of 3-6 months working experience in an administrative/customer service role
- Data analytical skills and strong MS Excel capabilities
- Multilingual in at least 2 of the official South African languages
- Relatable, personable, and customer-first approach
- Telephone etiquette and excellent spoken, written, and interpersonal communication
- Confidence, creativity, ambition, and forward-thinking
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work towards tight deadlines
- Advanced computer skills, including MS Office Suite and effective project management tools
