Our Opportunity:

The Real Estate team at Tim Hortons oversees management of over 4,000 properties across Canada and the US. This role presents an opportunity to join our team as a Manager, Real Estate Asset Management. It offers an exciting prospect to oversee a region of the Tim Hortons real estate portfolio, working closely with the broader Tim Hortons Development Team and the Tim Hortons Real Estate leadership team in shaping the direction of our real estate portfolio in both Canada and the US.

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Provide support for the Tim Hortons real estate portfolio, with a primary focus on lease renewals.
  • Negotiate lease renewals with external landlords, including market rates, key clauses, and extension options.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with landlords, developers, and brokers.
  • Collaborate with legal counsel to finalize leases and amendments.
  • Prepare approval memos, updates, and recommendations regarding your portfolio for the Tim Hortons Real Estate Committee.
  • Conduct ongoing market and property analyses, including regular site visits and market tours.
  • Work closely with the broader Tim Hortons Real Estate & Development Team and other stakeholders.
  • Represent the Tim Hortons brand in a first-class manner to all stakeholders.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, real estate, or a related field.
  • Preferred minimum of 3 years’ experience in commercial real estate leasing.
  • Proficient market knowledge of the commercial leasing industry, including market rates, landlords, significant developments in Canada, and general real estate trends.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ownership mentality and ability to close deals effectively.
