Requirements:

• South African citizenship
• Parents or guardians residing in the Saldanha Bay Municipal Area
• Successful completion of Matric
• Commencement of first year of study in 2023
• Enrollment or intent to enroll full-time in specified fields of study
• Provisional acceptance or acceptance to an accredited South African University or University of Technology
• Minimum of 40% in Mathematics or 50% in Mathematical Literacy in Matric
• Minimum average of 60% in Matric or at least 50%, with a minimum average in Mathematics of 60%
• Belonging to a previously disadvantaged group or possessing a documented disability

Necessary Documentation:

• Certified copy of ID document

• Certified copy of Grade 11 final results

• Certified copy of Matric results from September

• Certified copy of final Matric results or Matric certificate (if completed)

• University provisional acceptance or acceptance letter on official letterhead

• Certified copies of ID documents of applicant’s parents or guardians

• Proof of income for applicant’s parents or guardians, e.g., pay slips (if employed) or bank statements (if unemployed)

• Proof of address for applicant’s parents or guardians

• Certified copies of ID documents for dependents relying on family income

• Affidavit of guardianship if applicant doesn’t reside with parents

• Motivational letter, limited to 1000 words, explaining either the applicant’s motivation for chosen field of study or why they should be awarded the bursary.
