REQUIREMENTS
“The SAMSTIP Teacher Internship Bursaries 2023 are open to the public and specifically target qualified applicants in the science and mathematics fields. All applicants MUST meet the following criteria:
- Tertiary students in their final year with credits in Mathematics, Life Science, Natural Science, or Physical Science.
- University graduates with degrees in the above-mentioned subjects.
- South African citizens with a clean criminal record.
- Applicants below thirty years old majoring in the specified subjects.
- Graduates registered for PGCE with a tertiary institution are not eligible.
- All applicants must have acceptance letters for the PGCE 2023 academic year, meeting all institutional and legal protocols.
- Graduates MUST be at least in their second year (NQF -6) or third year (NQF-6) in at least one of the specified academic subjects at a tertiary academic institution.
- Tuition fees.
- Prescribed textbooks.
- Accommodation.
- Transport.
- A modest monthly stipend.”
