The Work Integrated Learning Programme (WILP) is designed as an internship and apprenticeship initiative to provide successful candidates with extensive training opportunities across various technical and engineering disciplines offered by the SARB and its banknote-producing subsidiary. Its primary goal is to equip participants for their trade test and national diploma qualifications.

The South African Reserve Bank (SARB), in partnership with the South African Banknote Company (RF) Proprietary Limited, actively addresses the nation’s skills shortage in technical and engineering fields through its Work Integrated Learning Programme (WILP).

Participants will fall into the following categories:

Artisan: Individuals from Further Education and Training Colleges with at least an N4 certificate, requiring 36 months of practical work experience to obtain an occupational trade qualification or a trade test. Disciplines considered include Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Plumbing, HVAC, and Carpentry.

Technician: Students from Universities of Technology with at least an S4 level, needing 12 months of practical work experience to fulfill their national diploma requirements. Disciplines considered are Electrical and Mechanical Engineering.

South African citizens meeting the specified requirements are encouraged to apply.
