SC Scholarship – Pre-Matric Scholarship for Class 9 & 10 Students

SC Scholarship Eligibility Criteria:

  • Category: Applicants must belong to the Scheduled Caste (SC) category.
  • Annual Income: The annual income of the student’s parents should not exceed INR 2.5 lakh per annum.
  • Government Funds: Students should not receive any other financial assistance from the central government.
  • Educational Institution: Applicants should be regular students in a government school or a school recognized by the Government or Central/State Board of Secondary Education.

Application Process:

  • Students are required to apply via the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) or respective state portals.
  • Along with the main application, applicants must upload the following documents: passport size photo, self-attested copies of certificates, diplomas, degrees, caste certificate, and income declaration.

Selection Process:

SC Scholarship – Post-Matric Scholarships:

The post-matric scholarships, which are centrally sponsored schemes implemented through state governments, provide financial assistance to Scheduled Caste students at the post-matriculation or post-secondary stage to help them complete their studies.

  • SC students enrolled in post-matriculation or post-secondary courses in recognized institutes/universities/colleges are eligible to apply.
  • The annual family income of students’ parents/guardians should not exceed INR 2,50,000 per annum.

SC Scholarship – Rajiv Gandhi National Fellowship for SC:

The Rajiv Gandhi National Fellowship (RGNF) scheme, funded by the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, offers scholarships to SC students enrolled in universities recognized under the University Grants Commission (UGC). These fellowships are specifically for M.Phil. and PhD students.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Applicants must belong to the SC category only.
  • They must be admitted to MPhil/Ph.D. degree programs in a university or academic institution.

  • Students can fill out an online application on the UGC official website.
  • The application consists of two parts: personal details and academic qualifications/research experience.

SC Scholarship – National Overseas Scholarship for SC:

Step 3: Once successfully registered, log in to your account to proceed with the application. Step 4: Fill in all necessary details, including personal, education, employment, and visa information. Step 5: Upload the required documents listed below:

  • Caste certificate
  • Birth certificate
  • Applicant’s photograph
  • Scanned signature of the applicant
  • Current and permanent address proofs
  • Qualifying mark sheet/degree
  • Valid document for marks
  • Document proving admission to a foreign university
  • Income certificate of all family members
  • Employer’s NOC certificate

Step 6: Submit the completed application form online.

Selection Process: Candidates who have secured admission to an accredited foreign university or institution recognized by the respective country’s authorized body for the academic year being applied for will be considered. The selection committee will make recommendations based on provided guidelines.

SC Scholarship – Top Class Education Scheme for SC Students:

Initiated by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India, this scheme provides financial assistance to SC category students enrolled in undergraduate or postgraduate courses. Its aim is to support quality education beyond Class 12 among SC students.

Award Details:

  • Full tuition fee and non-refundable charges up to INR 2 lakh per annum (for private sector institutions) and up to INR 3,72,000 per annum (for private sector flying clubs for Commercial Pilot Training and Type Rating Courses)
  • Living expenses of INR 2,220 per month
  • Books and stationery charges up to INR 3,000 per annum
  • One-time assistance of INR 45,000 for Computer/Laptop with UPS and Printer

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Open to SC category students who have completed Class 12.
  • Enrolled in a full-time undergraduate or postgraduate course in a notified institution through general selection criteria prescribed by respective institutions.
  • Annual family income not exceeding INR 6 lakh from all sources.

  • Government and CPSE-run institutes approved by the Director General of Civil Aviation for Commercial Pilot Training Course and Type Rating Course.
