Step 2: Maximize Your Scholarship Opportunities

To optimize scholarship opportunities, prospective students aiming to enroll in fall or summer semesters should complete their application along with all supporting documents by January 15. Meanwhile, those planning to enroll in the spring semester should ensure their application and supporting documents are submitted by November 1.

For students enrolling in the fall or summer semester at the main campus and meeting the January 15 deadline, consideration will be given for competitive scholarships provided by the Office of Undergraduate Admissions & Scholarships, the National Alumni Association, academic colleges, and all departments across campus. Admitted students meeting the January 15 deadline will receive instructions via email to complete the Freshman Supplemental Scholarship Application.

Similarly, for students enrolling in the spring semester at the main campus and meeting the November 1 deadline, consideration will be given for competitive scholarships offered by the Office of Undergraduate Admissions & Scholarships.

2024 International UA Competitive Admissions Scholarship: All applicants who submit their application and supporting documents by the stated deadline will undergo a holistic evaluation based on academic and non-academic criteria provided on their admission application. Academic aspects considered include high school GPA and academic honors, while non-academic factors comprise leadership experience, volunteer work, extracurricular activities, employment history, and non-academic accolades. This scholarship carries a value of $6,000, covering tuition expenses.

Deadlines:

  • Spring 2024: Application and supporting documents due by November 1
  • Fall/Summer 2024: Application and supporting documents due by January 15

Notifications:

  • 1st Round: Mid-December for applicants who submit their application and supporting documents by October 15
  • 2nd Round: Early February for applicants who submit their application and supporting documents by November 30

2024 International Freshman Automatic Merit Scholarships: Students meeting specified GPA and test score criteria by the respective deadlines will automatically qualify for one of the following scholarships:

Deadlines:

Notifications: Qualifying admitted students will automatically receive one of these scholarships approximately 2 weeks following admission.

Presidential Elite: Students with a GPA of 4.0+ and an ACT score of 36 or SAT score of 1600 will be designated as Presidential Elite Scholars, receiving a comprehensive scholarship package covering tuition, housing, supplemental scholarships, and book allowances.

If a student qualifies for both a UA Competitive Admissions Scholarship and one or more Automatic Merit Scholarships, they will receive the highest scholarship offer.
