Applications for 22 Charlie (females) are now open, starting from July 1, 2023. Apply today if you meet the following criteria:
- Aged 18 to 25.
- Passed Grade 9 (Standard 7).
- Not currently employed, in education, or undergoing training.
- No criminal record.
- Resident of the Western Cape.
The Chrysalis Academy is a leadership development organization and social crime prevention initiative, creatively working with young individuals to foster personal growth and resilience. The Academy equips participants with essential life skills, tools, and practices to become self-confident, economically productive, and positive role models in their communities.
Participation is voluntary and free, with a non-refundable fee of R450 on the intake day. The program is sponsored by the Western Cape Government’s Department of Community Safety and is open to eligible youth.
What do we offer? A 3-month residential program on our scenic Tokai forest campus, followed by a 1-year paid internship and 5 years of aftercare support.
The foundation of our program includes a daily routine emphasizing discipline, neatness, and personal hygiene. Life skills offered include:
