IEB Examination Schedule Dates 2024/2025
The IEB (Independent Examinations Board) is an independent South African examination agency responsible for administering exams for the majority of private schools in the country. This body is accredited by Umalusi for both school and adult assessments. Students affiliated with the IEB Examination are provided with the opportunity to retake their matric examinations.
IEB Examination Schedule Dates
Matriculation rewrites are scheduled as follows:
EXAMINATION PERIOD: The matric rewrite for the November 2024 exams is set to take place from May 8 to May 26, 2024.
APPLICATION DEADLINE: Entries for the May examinations will close on March 15, 2024.
RESULTS RELEASE DAY: While the date is yet to be confirmed by Umalusi, learners can expect the release of May examination results on July 20, 2024.
REMARK APPLICATION DEADLINE: The May examinations allow for remarking, with the deadline for remarks set for July 28, 2024.
REMARK RESULTS RELEASE DAY: Results for remarked examinations will be released on August 16, 2024.
Candidates applying to rewrite their matric examinations will be notified of any changes to the dates provided by the IEB.
