Year Beyond Programme encourages applications from individuals aged 18 to 25 who are enthusiastic about creating positive transformations in their personal lives and contributing to broader societal change.

While providing this essential service in your community, you will concurrently undergo training in a variety of work-related competencies, preparing you for your next career move.
Who should consider applying? Individuals who: Some streams may have additional prerequisites, such as a minimum mark in language or Math. Ensure you are acquainted with these requirements before initiating the application process.
Graduates (Diploma, Degree, Honors, etc.) from all fields of study are eligible. Students taking a year off from tertiary studies are also eligible.
How to Apply to Year Beyond: Confirm that you meet the following criteria before applying:
- Are you between the ages of 18–25? (This may vary for some streams.)
- Do you reside in the Western Cape?
- Do you comprehend that this is not a job opportunity?
- Are you aware that you will receive a small stipend, not a monthly salary?
- Do you understand that this is merely an application, and invitations for interviews or assessments will only be extended to those on the shortlist? (Note: Year Beyond requires a full-time commitment, with program activities taking place from Monday to Friday. This schedule may differ for some streams.)
